Custom Ski Boot Fitting
Orthotics Unlimited offers the best in custom ski boot fitting. Owner Sean Pearson spent four years fitting ski boots at Inner Bootworks of Stowe, VT, a shop widely recognized as the premier best boot-fitting shop on the East Coast. Services include stretching, grinding and canting. Our trained fit experts can also evaluate your feet and provide suggestions as to what boots are likely to be the best match for you.
On-Snow Skier/Equipment Evaluaiton
Orthotics Unlimited is among the only East Coast providers of comprehensive on-snow evaluations of stance, alignment and ski equipment compatibility. This service, available by appointment only, takes a complete look at the "big picture" of the skier/equipment relationship. It can often uncover problems that are often not apparent even to the most highly trained of shop technicians.
Our goal is to optimize your stance for maximum control and efficiency. An improper setup can lead to poor turning performance, inability to hold an edge on ice and premature muscle fatigue. All of these things can ruin an otherwise great day on the mountain.
Some of the issues our on-snow evaluations often uncover are:
- Improper sole and shell cant alignment
- Skis and or boots too stiff/soft
- Fore/aft balance out of alignment.
